ಮಸ್ತಕದ ಗಿರಿಶಿಖರದಲಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವೊಂದು ||
ಹೃತ್ಸಾನುವೊಳ್ ಕಾವ್ಯ ನಿಂತು ಹಿತಮಿರೆ ತಂಗಿ |
ಮೃಚ್ಛಿಲೆಗೆ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರ - ಮರುಳ ಮುನಿಯ || (೭೦೭)

ತತ್ತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕಿರಣಗಳು ಜೀವದ ಎರಡು ಬದಿಗಳು ಇದ್ದಂತೆ ಶಿರಸ್ಸೆಂಬ(ಮಸ್ತಕ) ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಹೃದಯವೆಂಬ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತಪ್ಪಲಿ(ಸಾನು)ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾವ್ಯವು ಹಿತವಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಯೂರಿದರೆ ಮಣ್ಣು (ಮೃತ್) ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಲು(ಶಿಲೆ)ಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಈ ದೇಹದ ಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವಿಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

The rays as poetry fall into hillside valley giving comfort
