ಜೀವ ಜೀವಮುವೊಂದು ಕೃಕಲಾಸ ಚಲವರ್ಣಿ |
ಭೂವಿಯದ್ವ್ಯಾಮರ್ದ ವಿಕೃತ ಮಧ್ಯಚರಿ ||
ಜೀವ ಜೀವಕೆ ಭೇದವಂತು ಭೋಜನ ಭೇದ |
ವ್ಯಾವರ್ತಿಸಖಿಲದಿಂ - ಮರುಳ ಮುನಿಯ || (೬೪೩)

ಜೀವ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವಿಯು ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೂ ಬಣ್ಣವನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಊಸರವಳ್ಳಿ(ಕೃಕಲಾಸ)ಯಂತೆ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ. ಭೂಮಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕಾಶ(ವಿಯತ್)ಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಒಂದು ಮಾರಿನಷ್ಟು(ವ್ಯಾಮ) ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವು ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಒಂದು ಜೀವಕ್ಕೂ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಜೀವಿಗೂ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಅವು ಭುಜಿಸುವ ಬಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸಗಳಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಇವು ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಪುನರಾವರ್ತಿತವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
