ಮಡುವೀಜುವಾಟದಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣಗೋಪಿಯರು |
ದಡದಿಂದ ಧುಮ್ಮಿಕ್ಕಿ ತಡಕಾಡಿ ದಣಿದು ||
ಕಡೆಗೆ ದಡವೇರುತ್ತ ಕಿಲಕಿಲನೆ ನಗುವಂತೆ |
ಪೊಡವಿಯೊಳು ನರನೀಜು - ಮರುಳ ಮುನಿಯ || (೬೮೩)

ಹೊಳೆಯ ಮಡುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಈಜಾಡುವಾಗ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣಪರಮಾತ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋಪಿಕಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು, ದಡದಿಂದ ನೀರಿನೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಧುಮುಕಿ, ಹುಡುಕಿ, ತಡಕಾಡಿ ಆಯಾಸಗೊಂಡು ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿಲಕಿಲನೆ ನಗುತ್ತಾ ದಡವನ್ನು ಏರುವಂತೆ, ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಈ ಬಾಳಿನ ಹೊಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈಜುತ್ತಾನೆ.

With the sole intention of swimming and enjoying
Shri Krishna and the Gopis jump into the lake, struggle and tire themselves,
At last they stop their play, come up and laugh joyfully,
